Going with the flow is one of my mottos and as I continue in the flow of life, I find myself blessed to live a life I love.  I work as a river and hiking guide, yoga teacher, fire performer, and hoola hoop performer.  This life is a constant journey and as I seek out my path, I find myself traveling about the world constantly seeking to learn and teach.
I spend my summers in Sun Valley, Idaho and my winters in Texas (between Austin and Big Bend National Park).  River guiding is seasonal, so I migrate north in the summers.  After guiding year round for 4 years, I now teach yoga in the summer at the various studios in Sun Valley.   Most of my teachings are one-on-one in a private setting.
I teach Forrest Yoga (www.forrestyoga.com), although I have played with several styles.  I began with Hatha at my first yoga teacher training in Baja, Mexico at the Yandara Institute.  As I traveled to Thailand the next winter, I discovered Ashtanga yoga and loved it.  So, the next winter I made my way to India to study with Sri K Pattabhi Jois.  It was a very interesting journey in so many ways!  I also got the privilege of learning from Sheshadri and Bharatt.
Then in September of 2008, I took another yoga teacher training.  This time it was with Ana Forrest in San Francisco.  Being in such a big city was quite an adjustment for me since I had been living in small towns and mostly off the grid or on the river itself.  I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would.  Forrest yoga really speaks to me and my body and it has helped me to heal different areas in my body that needed attention.  I teach from that experience.
Due to the amount of travel in my life, most of my teaching is in the form of privates or one-on-one.  Email is one of the best ways to reach me if you'd like a class.  Or let's do yoga on the river!
